About

The Source

Local Harvest is a small-scale, family farm that uses no-till and regenerative farming practices.

Local Harvest uses “no-till” practices, which focuses on building healthy soil and supporting biodiversity which helps us take care of people as well as the rest of our fellows in nature.

Our farming practices allow us to grow stronger, healthier, more delicious plants that don’t require any pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides and allow us to farm without the use of chemicals. We use minimal machinery to be gentle on the land and reduce the use of fossil-fuels. These practices also require less water than conventional farming methods, prevents and repairs soil erosion and allows us to grow a huge variety of delicious, nutrient-dense crops available year-round!

The Gal

Howdy, I’m Stacy! As a farmer with Local Harvest I farm your food and through Farm to Folk I bring it from the farm to you.

I found myself in the world of farming from my insatiable desire to be in nature, as well as my hunt for sustainable produce within my budget. Growing up in the Fraser Valley I’ve always been puzzled by the lack of access to local produce let alone food that was sustainably grown.

As a nurse of over 10 years I have a focus on what it takes to support healthy people and communities and believe strongly in our food system being a pillar of that. I feel farming doesn’t need to compromise between growing excellent food for all and taking care of the land and want to share with people the difference good food makes.

Farm to Folk was made to connect our communities with delicious, healthy and sustainable food and let me follow my childhood dream of being a farmer!
